APPI President Bill Henderson receives the Michigan Manufacturer of the Year Finalist Award from MMA President and CEO John “Mac” Macllroy.

Aircraft Precision Products, Inc. (APPI) of Ithaca, Michigan and its president, William W. Henderson, III, received the Michigan Manufacturer of the Year Finalist Award from the Michigan Manufacturer’s Association on May 11 at a ceremony in Lansing, Michigan.

The award is for “Small Tier” companies with no more than 500 employees. The judging committee noted APPI’s efforts to diversify and expand its customer base through a rigorous commitment to “Lean Manufacturing”. It was also impressed with Henderson’s commitment to build and expand local business-education partnerships in the mid-Michigan region and advocate for the manufacturing industry before state and federal governmental bodies.

Established in 1946, APPI employs 65 people in its modern 36,000 square foot facility. It has long been a leading component supplier to the commercial and military aircraft engine industry.
